When Dizzle's friend tragically passes away in a freak gymnastics accident, the budding stunt performer decides to drop everything and move China. He is offered the job as one of the lead roles in a new show called “Danger Island," one of the largest stunt shows in the world. Although it pains him to leave his friends and his beloved Jade behind, he sees it as a new beginning and a great opportunity to progress his career, so he packs his belongings and travels halfway across the world to the mystical Asian land.
Little does he realize that he is about to embark on the adventure of a lifetime. Stunt work in Asia is vastly different from stunt work in America. Without the necessity to abide by strict safety regulations, shows in China tend to cut corners to save money. In Asia, safety takes a back seat to budget and set design and consequently, the performing area is wrought with danger and disaster is never more than a few misplaced steps away.
During a routine SCUBA stunt, he runs out of air and comes face to face with his deceased friend from New Jersey. He can’t be sure if the ghostly apparition before him is a hallucination brought on by the severe lack of oxygen or if he actually sees his old companion, but whatever the reason, he is determined to survive. After holding his breath for a terrifying five minutes. Dizzle finally manages to find the surface, but the harrowing experience takes it toll. For weeks he questions his mortality and the less than ideal show conditions. He must keep his wits about him if he is to survive the madness of "Danger Island," unscathed. Join Dizzle for an up close and personal account behind the scenes of one the largest stunt shows ever produced.
